Principal's Message 9/4/20 Dear Hale Parents, I hope your week is wrapping up on a positive note. The purpose of this post is to provide you with critical information about the hybrid return to school. If your child is participating in the Remote Learning Academy, you will be contacted by the coordinator with information about your child’s remote return soon. If you have questions after reading this email please know that I will be holding a zoom meeting next week (TBD) with all available parents to help answer questions and prepare for the start of school. I urge you to read through this and HMS COVID-19 Parent Guidelines and Protocols so you fully understand how this school year will operate. A student friendly version of this information will be sent to all HMS students via their NRSD email accounts. However, I encourage you to discuss the contents of this with your child. Here is some logistical information: Please read the HMS COVID-19 Parent Guidelines and Protocols and then review them with your child. The document is comprehensive and encompassing. It will help to answer many of your questions. Each day students should arrive to school with: 2 masks 1 lanyard (for mask breaks) Filled water bottle A sack lunch and a snack Fully charged Chromebook School supplies in a backpack Proper attire (we will be outside as much as is feasible) The first day of school is a Remote Wednesday (9/16/20). Verify your student remembers their username and password. Call the main office if you need assistance (978) 897-4788. Students will meet their homeroom teacher and classmates on 9/16/20 during a google meeting. Students will receive google meet links from me and their homeroom teacher ahead of time. There will be no early drop off this year. Parent drop off will occur after the students have disembarked from the buses. School starts at 7:45 and ends at 2:15 Arrival and dismissal will take longer than previous years. Plan accordingly.
